The ephemeral sparkle of fireflies inspired this citrine, Welo opal, sky blue topaz, and gold pendant necklace.  

"Firefly" centers on a wonderful citrine (27.23 cts.). To do justice to the citrine, I set it in an original gold basket, crowned by a gold, moth orchid.  The sides of the basket are also adorned by vanilla bean tendrils.  Finally, the dramatic flash of Ethiopian opals perfect "Firefly's" ability to pull outfits together.

WHY VANILLA?

Why do White Orchid Studio gem baskets mimic the plant vanilla?  Because vanilla is considered a white orchid. It is the essential flavoring in baking custard, cookies, cakes, etc…
